The “Middle East” and the “West” (as two political/cultural entities) have been involved in a long history of conflicts, concurrence, hegemony, and fascination. The course will explore the different aspects of the contemporary Middle East/West relation, and will explain its origins and historical evolution.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the main sustainable investment vehicles: socially responsible investing, shareholder activism, green bonds, micro finance, and impact investing
Work collaboratively to access ESG/impact measurement of corporations as part of a sustainable porfolio exercise
Analyze the major transformations (taxation, incentives for public-private investments, improvements of impact measurement, etc.) necessary to promote expansion of the SF sector. In addition, sustainable investment is a key driver in attainment of social/environmental goals such as the UN SDGs.
